FAITH, HOPE, & JOY
Mission Statement
The mission of FAITH, HOPE & JOY is to strengthen your child’s relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Through fun and creative activities which focus on worship, witness, service and fellowship, children will build a foundation of faith and begin to understand Orthodox Christianity. We encourage parents to embrace the mission of FAITH, HOPE & JOY by reading the Bible with your children at home and bringing them to church on Sundays. We welcome children of all faiths to attend FAITH, HOPE & JOY Nights! Lessons are taught from an Orthodox Christian perspective. The positive teachings of The Orthodox Faith can provide a moral foundation to guide children throughout their lives.
Who it Serves
FAITH, HOPE, and JOY ministers to children of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America in Preschool (FAITH), Grades K-2 (HOPE), and Grades 3-6 (JOY).
Our Meetings
Faith, Hope and Joy meets on the first Friday of every month from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Each FHJ meeting begins and ends with prayer. There is a short Bible lesson; we enjoy supper together followed by a craft, game and/or activity correlating with our theme for the year.
This year’s theme: All About Prayer; Why, When, and How
IMPORTANT – We ask that you RSVP prior to a meeting or event to ensure there are enough crafts, supplies and food for all the children in attendance.
